Become a talented robot maker, with the surface pro!

When watching the Persuaders I noticed a big idea that came up was how companies get you to keep buying their product. What they do is they promise you something that will come with buying their product, so you buy it thinking you'll get this unachievable thing with it, then surprise, you don't get it, so then you buy their product again feeling you'll get it the second time. An example of this is a Surface Pro ad that I saw. A robot maker talks about how he makes and designs robots using the surface pro. So the purposeful assumption that we make is that we can design and do stuff like that if we buy the new Surface Pro. So we buy it and come to the realization that not only did we not have the art or technical abilities inside us to create a robot but to get that program he's using we have to pay for the application which if they have a sponsorship with them goes back into buying more of their product.  Many companies do this and it's a pretty genius thing to do because it convinces you if you pay and keep paying you'll automatically get these amazing abilities, no work necessary!

  1. I have seen those commercials before and I totally agree, google is promising that this computer that will be able to make you an adventurer or robot designer like this one, but they are always false promises.
